Client plugins

Use the same device workflow from Codex or Claude Code.

Before installing

Install iPhone-use CLI 0.2.1 first. Your client must run local Mac commands and read images. Plugins provide instructions and client adapters; they do not install the CLI, create signing material or automatically connect a phone.

Add the full Git repository as the marketplace, not a raw JSON URL. This is the project’s own public marketplace, not a claim of inclusion in either client’s official directory.

Codex

codex plugin marketplace add HughLee824/iphone-use
codex plugin add iphone-use@iphone-use
codex plugin list --marketplace iphone-use --json

Use a release that exposes codex plugin --help. These command names were checked on CLI 0.146.0. Confirm the installed plugin is enabled, start a new Codex task and invoke $iphone-use:iphone-use. Restart the desktop client if its plugin list has not refreshed.

If plugin add is unavailable, use a compatible client release or its desktop marketplace installer. Do not substitute Claude Code’s plugin install command.

Claude Code

claude plugin marketplace add HughLee824/iphone-use
claude plugin install iphone-use@iphone-use
claude plugin list --json

Start a new session and invoke /iphone-use:iphone-use. Interactive installation also supports /plugin marketplace add HughLee824/iphone-use and /plugin install iphone-use@iphone-use. Follow the install result if it requests a reload.

Disable the old AgentSoma plugin before enabling iPhone-use to avoid duplicate device instructions. CLI and plugin versions are independent: Release 0.2.1 and the public Git source both provide plugin 0.1.6 with the updated homepage and documentation. Check the installed cache version. Release 0.2.0 retains its original 0.1.4 ZIP.

Updates

codex plugin marketplace upgrade iphone-use
codex plugin add iphone-use@iphone-use

claude plugin marketplace update iphone-use
claude plugin update iphone-use@iphone-use

Use the pair of commands for your client. Refreshing a marketplace alone may leave an older plugin installed. Start a new session and check the workflow version in the installed skill. Runner changes or expired signing can require device setup again.

Remove a plugin

Use codex plugin remove iphone-use@iphone-use or claude plugin uninstall iphone-use@iphone-use. Remove the marketplace separately if desired. These commands do not uninstall the CLI or remove signing credentials.
